Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 2:36PM Look!! Someone has taken the name of our magazine and turned it into a restaurant!!
The world will show for a new restaurant opening...especially when it's owned by Tim McEneny! He's opened a new culinary hotspot called DISH! Chef Doug Brown’s new project has generated quite the buzz in Big D for its “modern” comfort food, inventive cocktails and lounge-like ambiance. The opening saw over 800 guests who were treated to specialty drinks and live music from Las Vegas’ DJ Scene. The lights are neon, the hors d’oeuvres have been described as exquisite! This DISH restaurant just might be “next big thing” in Dallas dining!
After all, they do have the best name! =)

The Dean of Education at Scardello has proudly announced the December schedule. All classes are $25 per person. Reservations with a credit card to hold your spots are required. There is a 24 hour cancellation policy. We are also happy to put together a private class for a you and a group of your friends. Please call 214.219.1300 to reserve a spot today!

We will cover the basics on how cheese is made and answer questions about cheese pairing fundamentals. Of course there will be soothing libations provided to be enjoyed in the relaxing atmosphere of the shop!

For a private class all you need is 12 people at $25 per person. We will do any class we have done in the past. Cheese 101 to Spanish wine and cheese, we can make your crowd happy.
For parties we can put together trays of pressed sandwiches, cheese trays and more. So call for more info or to hold a date!

Tei-An: A Bathroom Haven
Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 11:04PM Ok...so yes, it's a restaurant and the new One Arts Plaza (1722 Routh St # 110, Dallas, TX 75201-2503, (214) 220-2828) however there is an extra bonus to this quiet little place that begs to be given attention...THE BATHROOM! Sure we've all seen the doors that are see through til you lock them and they turn opaque, but the magic happens when you turn around and take a seat. First of all...the seat is warmed. YES WARMED! Who knew this was such a luxury?? I instantly started thinking of ways to heat mine at home! THEN...there is a remote control built into the wall just above the paper dispenser. It has the options of front, back, both, dry and off. Assuming it was a cleansing opportunity and being a germaphobe... I reluctantly pushed the "front" button. It made noise...I waited....then just about shot off the toilet after bring introduced to the "front wash". BUT OOOOHHHHH wow! It's a bidet without having to get up! Then...it dries you!!! I never knew how much one could appreciate a warm air breeze..um..ehm...down south if you will. Needless to say, I drank as much as I could to try to have to go again before needing to go home. =) I don't care how much it costs, I will sell my far to have one of these toilets in my home!
Now...the food part! This is some of the most delish sashimi I have put to my lips! So secculant, melts like butter! And the lychee martini, no words for this wonderful discovery! All fresh food, fruits and veggies! If you want a lychee martine, they peal the liech right there!
You must MUST try this wonderful place...ask for YO and tell him DISH sent you to the bathroom =)

Flying Fish
Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at 10:38PM Oh yes, there is such a thing as a flying fish but we bet you didn't know you could find then in Dallas? It's in Preston Center and it's FABOOSH! SO much fun this place! it's casual, it's laid back and it's really good! DISH had the grilled salmon with beans and rice...DELISH! We highly suggest you check it out...if not for the yummy fishies then for the humor. This is the sign you see when you walk in the door =)
