Pick a neighborhood and a budget there is plenty to choose from in Dallas this year!
Victory Park will rival Times Square this year to help you ring in the New Year There will be TONS of lights to help keep you warm on this chilly Blue Moon of a night! Plus there are outdoor concerts, a Dallas Stars game, Reckless Kelly at the House of Blues, a countdown on the large screens so you don't miss a beat, and, of course, fireworks!!!! If you aren't feeling the crowds, you can also watch all the festivities from the warmth of your home during the live broadcast on WFAA. WHEW! But that's sooooo not all!
If you are feeling groovy, you can pop over to the Arts District for a rock show at the beautiful Wyly Theater. After the 19 piece rock orchestra performs Queen, The Who, David Bowie, and The Beatles, you can right in the new year 70's style with Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra at the Wyly's exclusive VIP after-party. Tickets are $85 and include a meet-and-greet with the band at the Ultrasonic Lounge. Cocktails included.
On Lower Greenville. The Granada will be hopping with local favorites Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights, RTB2, and Taddy Porter hanging around to get the party off on the right foot.
If an 90's throw back if more your scene, Deathray Davies will be playing at Sons of Hermann Hall, and the Toadies will return to their Deep Ellum stomping grounds for a memorable show at Trees. Rockstars included.
We didn't forget Downtown Fort Worth! There is so much going on there too! You can get funky with Mingo Fishtrap at McDavid Studio. OR hit up the 50's with Ricki Derek and a Ring-a-Ding-Ding variety show with his big band at Scat. If you are more in the mood for a rock cover band then you will want to check out the Burning Hotels at Lola's.
